Dr. Aggarwal’s surgical expertise is extensive and includes a wide range of procedures. He has performed approximately 3000 surgeries. His key surgical skills include:
- Cataract Surgery: He is highly adept at phacoemulsification, which he performs under topical anesthesia for both simple and complex cases. He has experience with various types of intraocular lenses (IOLs) including pediatric cataract, toric, multifocal, and SFIOLs.
- Refractive Surgery: He has performed supervised independent refractive procedures like LASIK, PRK, and ASA under topical anesthesia. He also received training in CLEAR by Zeimer.
- Glaucoma: His experience covers trabeculectomy with MMC and performing independent YAG laser iridotomy and SLT. He has also been trained in iStent implants by Glaukos.
- Trauma and Ocular Surface: He has experience in the surgical management of ophthalmic trauma, including open globe injuries. He also performs pterygium surgeries with autologous limbal cell transplant and manages OSSN.
